Which product for my dog

Two things decide the choice: what coat your dog has and whether there is a specific problem. Answer both and find your line below.

By coat type

Short coat

Labrador, Boxer, Beagle, Dachshund, Pug, most smooth-coated mixes.

One mild shampoo is enough. Shampoo Sensitive cleans without drying the skin and suits every bath. No conditioner needed, the hair is short and does not tangle. In winter add Paw Care for the pads.

Long or dense coat with undercoat

Golden Retriever, Collie, Spitz, Husky, Samoyed, Bernese Mountain Dog, Newfoundland.

Here the conditioner is not a luxury, without it the brush pulls. Shampoo Shine & Comb for the bath, Conditioner Silky & Shine right after it, Anti-Tangling Spray when brushing between baths. All three together are the Long Coat Set.

Curly or continuously growing coat

Poodle, Bichon, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu, Cocker Spaniel, Lagotto.

The same combination as for long coats, but the spray goes on at every brushing. These dogs mat fastest and knots behind the ears and under the legs appear within days. The Long Coat Set is for them.

Wire coat

Schnauzer, wire-haired terriers, rough-coated Jack Russell.

Shampoo Shine & Comb for the bath. Conditioner softens the hair, which is not always wanted on these breeds if you keep the natural texture. If the dog is not hand-stripped and the coat is long, add the conditioner.

By problem

Itching, red or sensitive skin

Shampoo Sensitive, no fragrance oils, with chamomile and calendula. Rinse longer than usual, shampoo residue is a common cause of itching after a bath. If the itching is constant, there are wounds or hair loss, see a vet first. Shampoo does not treat.

Puppy

Again Sensitive. Mild enough for the first baths. Bathe only when needed.

Dull coat, the brush pulls

Shine & Comb and Silky & Shine together. The conditioner closes the hair and the brush goes through without pulling. The Bath Set with Shine & Comb is exactly this pair.

Knots and mats between baths

Anti-Tangling Spray on dry or slightly damp coat, wait a minute, brush from the tips toward the root. Do not cut knots, work them apart. A coat matted down to the skin is a job for a groomer.

Dry, cracked or rough pads

Paw Care, a thin layer before the walk. For cracks, in the evening after the walk. Most useful in winter on salted pavements.

Not sure which shampoo

Sample Set: Sensitive, Shine & Comb and Silky & Shine, 10 ml each. Enough for one bath of a small to medium dog. Try them, then buy the full size of the one that worked.

I want everything at once

Complete Set: shampoo of your choice, conditioner, spray and Paw Care. Cheaper than the four products bought separately.

How often to bathe

There is no single number. It depends on the coat, the lifestyle and the skin. Guidelines and the whole procedure step by step are in Guides.
